Abstract:
Academic networks have important applications across various disciplines. Common examples include collaboration networks, citation networks, and keyword co-occurrence networks. Analyzing these networks helps identify research teams, track emerging research trends, and understand the knowledge structure of disciplines.
In this lecture, we will introduce the academic network datasets collected and organized by our team: the LMANStat dataset and the LMANStat Embedding dataset. These publication data are primarily drawn from journals in statistics, econometrics, and data mining. We will also discuss the practical application problems these datasets can address and present related statistical analysis results.
About the Speaker:
Pan Rui is a Professor at the School of Statistics and Mathematics, Central University of Finance and Economics (CUFE), with a Ph.D. in Economics from Guanghua School of Management, Peking University. Her primary research areas include network data analysis and spatiotemporal statistical modeling. She has published over 30 papers in top journals such as Annals of Statistics, Journal of the American Statistical Association, and Journal of Business & Economic Statistics. She is the author of the Chinese monographs Practicing Data Thinking and Network Data Analysis and Applications. She has led and participated in various national and provincial research projects. She teaches courses including Mathematical Statistics, Statistics, and Machine Learning. Professor Pan has received the Second Prize in CUFE’s Teaching Contest for Young Faculty.
